Developers Gain Real-Time Insight into AI Code with Warp Code

Warp has introduced Warp Code, a new suite of features that aims to make AI-assisted coding more transparent and interactive. The update allows developers to see every change made by the AI, review diffs, and make real-time adjustments, simulating a pair-programming approach.
The layout reflects Warp’s existing design, including a command bar, an AI response section, and a panel that tracks edits step by step. Users can directly modify code, highlight context lines, and rely on Warp’s compiler to fix compile errors. Founder Zach Lloyd said the focus is on empowering users to refine AI output instead of passively accepting it.
The launch puts Warp in competition with Cursor, Windsurf, Lovable, and coding tools from Anthropic and OpenAI. Though Warp uses models from other companies, it differentiates itself by emphasizing control and transparency. The startup is experiencing fast growth, now counting 600,000 active users and $1 million in new ARR every 10 days.
