Google’s AI Overviews have 2B monthly users, AI Mode 100M in the US and India

Alphabet and Google CEO Sundar Pichai says the company’s AI user base is expanding rapidly. On the Q2 2025 investor call, Pichai reported that AI Overviews in Search now serves 2 billion monthly users in 200 regions, compared with 1.5 billion two months ago.

Gemini has reached 450 million monthly active users, and daily usage is up by over 50% since Q1.

The volume of monthly tokens processed by Google’s AI systems has doubled since May, reaching 980 trillion.

Pichai described the growth as a clear signal of AI’s rising role in Google’s product ecosystem.
